Gunk Monsters and 2.5D Outdoor Advertising
Sense has been working with Viva Energy to introduce the engine-corroding gunk monster to Australian audiences – and then kill him with Shell V-Power
Recently, we announced our exciting partnership with Viva Energy Australia, the exclusive distributor of Shell petroleum products in Australia. Since then, we have been busy working with them on one of our most far-reaching campaigns to date.
The Gunk Monster campaign originated in the United Kingdom with a TVC created by J. Walter Thompson. It wasn’t long before the concept went worldwide and, when it came time to introduce the Gunk Monster and his sidekick the Corrosion Creature to Australian audiences, the team at Sense was ready, willing and able (and a bit frightened, the Gunk Monster is pretty scary).
We updated the British TVC for the Australian market and created an original local campaign including outdoor media (with 2.5 dimensional executions), nationwide radio spots, point of sale collateral and digital and social media advertising assets.
The Gunk Monster truly is everywhere thanks to us, but don’t worry, he can be easily defeated with his very own kryptonite: a healthy dose of Shell V-Power.
