Christopher Boots Website Now Live
The brief: An online platform to showcase the phenomenal work of our Fitzroy neighbour and acclaimed lighting designer Christopher Boots.
Christopher Boots is known internationally for his innovative and highly creative lights.
Illuminating palatial private residences, famous public venues, trendy restaurants, and the Hermes shop windows in New York and Vancouver, each Christopher Boots lighting design is a piece of art.
For his website, Sense sought to create a space where the work takes centre stage. A purposefully harmonious user experience allows intuitive, natural navigation through Christopher Boots’ impressive catalogue of products and projects.
Visually, the design takes its cues from the materials used to create the lighting pieces, in particular brassy golds, set against rich black backgrounds. This dark ambience is tempered by a self-reflexive hover effect that mimics changing nature of light.
