Moomba is Melbourne’s love letter to a long weekend, and the City of Melbourne need a website that can keep pace with the party. Since 2019, we have designed and built a bright, high-energy digital home that scales for peak-traffic weekends and guides a million-plus Melburnians to their next carnival ride, riverside gig, fireworks spot or Moomba Monarch. On the busiest day of the 2026 festival, the site served 175,000 page views to 57,000 users. Year on year, page views rose 17%, engagement 26%, and online ride pass sales 12%.
